Sick But I still run

Hello Everyone,

Today I woke up completely ill (as I was yesterday), I got out the door for my 45 minute job. I always wear a heart rate monitor when I run is probably the first thing I should tell you, the reason that way I know exactly how much my body is working.. I am not like a numbers person but I do like to know exactly how my body is working and when I get in shape. As my miles goes up I will start to not wear the heart rate monitor and start just running at will. Today the goal was to keep the heart rate around 135-145. I did this for 45 minutes. I do not run for miles but rather by time. I consider 45 minutes 6 miles... I just take it to the nearest 7 minutes figuring that is what I run per mile (pretty close to realistic).  I then came home did 30 minutes of core (push-ups,sit ups, bridges, ect). I am going to lay off the lifting for the next month in hopes of maybe dropping some weight.. I am currently 163 lbs.   In college I raced at 145 but lifting properly for a distance runner...

Tomorrow I will try to put in a LR of 60 minutes (not a long run for most but hey whatever). Then its off to PHX for a teaching confrence monday-thursday... So I will get ro run in warmer weather!
